Pier G South Slip Fill, New Wharf at Berth G234, & Backland Development within the Slip Fill Project Footprint at the Port of Long Beach, California.

International Transportation Service, LLC (ITS) is the container terminal operator at Pier G in the Port of Long Beach, California. ITS seeks to prequalify Class A General Contractors for upcoming work for the Pier G South Slip Fill, New Wharf at Berth G234, and Backland Development within the Slip Fill Project Footprint (“Project”). The Project will involve multiple activities, including demolition of two existing concrete wharfs (Berths G227 and G235), dredging, rock dike construction, fill placement, surcharge placement and removal, construction of a new concrete wharf, paving, grading, striping, lighting, and utility infrastructure within the slip’s footprint. The completed Project will create approximately 21 acres of new land, requiring approximately 2.6 million cubic yards of fill, dike, and surcharge material.

Interested Contractors are encouraged to download the Request For Qualifications (RFQ) from PlanetBids (https://pbsystem.planetbids.com/portal/61412/bo/bo-detail/109609) when released on January 25, 2024 at 9:00 am PST.

Questions and clarifications must be submitted via PlanetBids by 5:00 pm PST on February 15, 2024.

All applications are due by March 7, 2024 at 5:00 pm PST and prequalified Contractors will be notified by March 21, 2024.
